Scaffolding base plates and sole plates are critical foundation components in every scaffolding system. They distribute the vertical load of scaffolding standards onto the ground surface and prevent sinking, tilting or puncturing of ground protection boards. Suncorp manufactures IS-certified base plates and sole plates at our Hyderabad facility in all standard sizes for H-frame, cuplock, ringlock and tubular scaffolding.

The sole plate is the board or plate laid directly on the ground to spread the load over a wider area. The base plate sits on top of the sole plate and provides the bearing surface for the scaffolding standard or adjustable jack. Together they form the foundation of the scaffolding system. On soft ground, a larger sole plate is essential to prevent settlement and instability.
