Column Shuttering – Steel Column Formwork Specifications
Column shuttering is a formwork system used to cast concrete columns in buildings, bridges and industrial structures. Suncorp steel column shuttering panels are assembled around column reinforcement to create the desired shape. After concrete gains strength (24 to 48 hours), shuttering is stripped and reused up to 200 times.

Column Sizes Achievable
Using 500mm wide panels: 500x500mm, 750x750mm, 1000x1000mm square columns. For circular columns we supply circular column moulds from 200mm to 1200mm diameter.
What is the best shuttering material for column casting?
Steel shuttering is best for column casting due to strength, reusability (50 to 200 cycles), smooth concrete finish and dimensional accuracy. Cheaper per pour over its life than timber or plywood shuttering.
