Components of cuplock scaffolding

External verticals

The external verticals are responsible for holding the weight from all the four directions. They hold about 20% of the weight.

Eccentric loads

The entire loading system is based on the eccentric load, in worst cases, the eccentric loads help.

3-Lug cuplock

3-Lug cupslocks are also used for giving support to the vertical load.

Bracing

The loads to be allowed on the verticals and other supports are based on the bracing.

Cuplock spigotted standardsare manufactured from 48.3mm O.D. tube. They have cup joints at 500mm intervals. The captive mobile top cups are designed to endure rough site handling and welded bottom cups are made from high-quality steel. Integral spigots are provided at the top of each standard for making vertical connections. The spigotsand the base of each standard incorporate 11/16mm dia. holes to enable use of locking pins to join standards where necessary.

OMEGA Transom   is   made from high grade steel, with an inverted ” T ” section to provide seating for Cuplok OMEGA   Battens.  Lightweight. Manufactured using 3.2mm high grade steel, Cuplock scaffolding is 20% lighter than standard 4mm scaffolding tube. It is the specifically designed Omega section (60mm x 40mm) which avoids the effects of weather penetration and provides a very strong supporting platform. Forge blade ends locate into the lower cup joint of the Vertical.

Cuplock Intermediate transom provides a safe mid-bay support for 38mm scaffold boards.The fabricated jaw section at each end is turned downwards to prevent dislocation and One end is provided with an integral locking device to prevent movement along the ledger during use.

When you are restricted in space 0.7m wide LA Transoms allow you to maintain access to your working decks and building levels. Our Ladder Access Transoms are an integral component when used with the 4Ken Access Hatch System.
